Evaluation of differences of productivity specifications in populations of several grape varieties

The article tells of the level of polymorphism of productivity indicators in the populations of some valuable local and introduced grape varieties in the conditions of Apsheron, determination and evaluation of productivity features that directly affect the choice of new economically and selectively important forms. For successful conduction of selection work, the plants in the population should be consistently evaluated during several years for different important economical and selective specifications. When conducting researches the productivity features were defined separately for every plant in population. It was found that different varieties as well as the plants within the same variety (population) significantly 24 differ each other by productivity features. This enables to evaluate the changeability of the clones. During the studies it was found that the varieties, as well as the separate plants belonging to the same variety significantly differ by productivity indicators. Within the populations these specifics appear due biological and growth specifications of the varieties, growing technology, buds and shoots load etc. It brings to decrease of mean figures of productivity in each population their turning into the mixture of negative and positive variations. As a result the economical importance of these populations decrease sharply. Basing on obtained experimental results the plants in each population were evaluated separately and the forms with positive signs were chosen. The plants with positive signs were being chosen mainly by the number of bunches, their size and weight.
